Modèle de morphogenèse chez les ammonites

The objective of this course is to develop skills in literature research and synthesis of current research findings in the Earth Sciences. The students attend a series of research seminars, some of which are presented by renowned European scientists. These invited researchers also teach a short course in which they discuss their work and scientific articles relevant to their research specialties with the students. The students are thus exposed to a broad scientific culture and recent results spanning diverse topics in the Earth Sciences. To reinforce the course objectives, the students perform a literature search of recent scientific articles pertaining to a topic of their choice, write a synthesis report, and present their work to the class during a mini-colloquium organized by the students at the end of the semester.
