  • Sampling strategies and assemblages comparisons
  • Evaluation of the quality of the fossil record
  • Key concepts in taphonomy
  • Microbial activities and preservation
  • Sites with exceptionnal preservations and concentrations
  • Rules and laws for collecting fossils and for collections
  • Basic concepts in relational data bases
  • Paleoecological data abalyses with R.
